Hemp biomass is the harvested aerial plant material, flower, smaller buds, leaves, and stems, of industrial hemp cultivated for cannabinoid content. It's sold in bulk for cannabinoid extraction rather than direct consumption, and pricing per pound is substantially lower than finished trimmed flower because processors are buying cannabinoid mass, not bag appeal.

Hemp flower is the trimmed, cured bud sold for jars, pre-rolls and retail menus. Biomass is the trim and smaller plant material left after the flower is trimmed, sold by cannabinoid content for extraction and pre-roll fill rather than by bag appeal, so it costs less per pound. Same plant, different use and price.

It depends on the strain and source. Our current biomass listings are THCA trim, testing 12.2% to 21.8% THCA on representative COAs. Each strain lists THCA and Delta-9 THC by dry weight, so processors can plan extraction yield against their own equipment and process.

The minimum is 1 lb per strain, and you can mix strains in one order request. Biomass is priced at cost at $150 to $195 per pound, so volume discounts do not apply; larger volumes are priced by bulk quote.

Each strain lists a representative third-party COA covering THCA and Delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis, and the COA for your batch is sent with every order.

Yield depends on the cannabinoid content of the lot, the extraction method (CO2, ethanol or hydrocarbon) and the refinement target (crude, distillate or isolate). Each strain lists THCA on a dry weight basis from a representative COA, currently 12.2% to 21.8% across listed strains, so you can plan yield against your own equipment and process.

We do not send samples of biomass or trim. A 1 lb order of any strain works as a trial order.

Biomass is sold in 1 lb units and ships within 2 to 3 business days once payment is received. For larger volumes, we confirm packaging, timing and shipping with your quote.
